Are you often surfing the web for information and inspiration? Collecting bits and pieces, and saving them for reference? Trying to find structures for organising these bits of information that makes sense for you, and perhaps even for others? Collecthing tries to provide a new way of doing just that.

Are you often surfing the web for information and inspiration? Collecting bits and pieces, and saving them for reference? Trying to find structures for organising these bits of information that makes sense for you, and perhaps even for others? Collecthing tries to provide a new way of doing just that.

Using a cross-browser compatible bookmarklet, you freely collect text and images from across the Internet. Then review, highlight and tag your snippets, and lay them out on custom or predefined backgrounds; maps that provide a context for whatever your topic might be. Create multiple projects with multiple maps, and share these with others, to collaboratively create visual landscapes of information. Each entity represented by a coloured dot, with variable size and opacity, the Collecthing way of dynamically visualising certain interest areas.

The project is very close to entering a semi-closed testing stage, so if it sounds interesting, please submit your email for early access.

The information space is whatever space you make it!
